Though this year has been quite a sartorial disappointment as far as major fashion events go, there were a few shining stars at the CFDA Awards that have garnered my acclaim for their individualism, obvious dedication to fashion, and truly of-the-moment spirit.
1. Kasia Struss in Rodarte
I love the sinister blood-red hue of this lighter-than-air confection, which is paired perfectly with a pair of Louboutins from the same collection.
2. Lauren Santo Domingo in Proenza Schouler
Lauren never fails to wow, and although her formerly edgy appeal has given way to more polished looks as of late, this Proenza Schouler ensemble radiates a perfect blend of her natural downtown sensibilities and the grace and poise that comes with her newly minted billionaire's wife status.
3. Ashley Olsen in Calvin Klein Collection
Ash, in Calvin Klein resort, works the "le smoking" look like no other. For me, this is 100% perfection.
4. Ann Stordahl in Nina Ricci
Although a much more formal look than most opted for for this event, this Nina Ricci gown is just so breathtaking, I had to post it.
